Armenian Youth Federation
History
Founded in 1933
by General Karekin Nejdeh, the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) serves as the
youth organization of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. The AYF stands
on five pillars that guide its activities: Education, Hai Tahd, Social,
Athletic and Culture. Moreover, the AYF promotes a fraternal attitude of
mutual respect for ideas and individuals among its membership. Unity and
cooperation are essential traits that allow members of the organization to
work together to realize the objectives of the AYF.
Mission

To bring together Armenian youth, to work in cooperation with the Armenian
Revolutionary Federation toward maintaining a united, free and independent
Armenia.

To prepare Armenian youth for future membership in the Armenian
Revolutionary Federation.
·
To promote amity amongst all Armenians in order to engender a mutual
commitment to a united, free and independent Armenia.
·
To foster nationalistic pride among all Armenian youth through
educational, political, cultural, athletic and social activities.

Who May
Join?
Armenian youth
between the ages of 10 and 26. There is a Junior Chapter
accommodating youth ages 10-16 and a Senior Chapter for youth ages 16-26.
How Does
One Join?
You may download
an application from the AYF website: www.ayf.org and submit to the
Providence “Varantian” chapter executive.
When Are
Meetings Held?
Meetings for the
Providence “Varantian” Junior and Senior chapters are typically held once a
month at Sts. Vartanantz Church.
