                                                        Mission

                                                             The Mourad Armenian School, in partnership with parents and community members and organizations guides and prepares students in perpetuating the Armenian language, history, culture and traditions, while focusing on character, knowledge and mutual respect for others in order to help students achieve confidence and success.

                                                        History

                                                             The Mourad Armenian National School of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church was established in 1934 to provide children of the community the opportunity to learn the language, history and culture of their forefathers. The Armenian National Education Committee (ANEC) under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of North America, the Armenian Relief Society Eastern Regional Executive, the Pastor and the Board of Trustees of Sts. Vartanantz Church assist and supervise the Armenian weekly (Saturday) school.

                                                        ·        Vocabulary and Spelling

                                                        ·        Conversational Armenian

                                                        ·        Fine Arts

                                                        ·        Music

                                                        ·        Dance

                                                        ·        Drama (during year-end graduation exercise)

                                                        ·        Arts and Crafts (special occasions and holidays)

                                                        Who May Enroll?

                                                             Any child ages 4 - 14 years. Armenian speaking parents is not a requirement. An "Armenian As A Second Language" program exists which is designed to give those students a strong foundation with which to enter the formal Armenian language curriculum.
                                                         

                                                        When Do Classes Take Place?

                                                             Every Saturday, September through June, from 9:15 am - 1:00 pm.
